Yesterday was Kaden and Kaleiah's first time to the dentist. Our dentist is also a good friend of my husbands that we know from church. He is the best dentist I have ever been to! He said around 2 1/2 was a good time to bring babies in for their first check up so we did!
I went with Kaleiah while Daddy went with Kaden. They lady that was working with Kaleiah was amazing with her. She explained every single little thing she was going to do. She let Kaleiah touch the tools she would be using and even let her do the little spit sucker thing all by herself. He was called Mr. Slurpy and Kaleiah liked that :)
She got to pick out her flavored toothpaste and out of strawberry, birthday cake, grape and chocolate she chose chocolate :) And the holder was a little hippo which she loved, too! Then she got to pick out the "tooth brush" that would be used to clean her teeth. She picked a flamingo! Then at the end she picked orange floride :) She loved being able to have choices and pick her own things like a big girl. Again, the lady was just so good with her!
She did the usual teeth cleaning and Kaleiah was a perfect angel the whole time. She opened big like an aligator and let the lady do everything she needed to do!
She does have 2 little cavaties, most likely from going to bed with milk. After I stopped nursing at 14 mo (they would always nurse to go to bed), we started letting them take some milk to bed even though we knew better. All first time parents make mistakes.
We'll be going back ina few weeks for her fillings that should only atke about 15 min the dentist said. He said they were nothing to worry about!
Since Daddy was with Kaden I don't know how vistit went except that daddy said he did GREAT! He said he was just the best little guy and like Kaleiah, was very cooperative. He said he he picked orange tooth paste, a giraffe tooth brush and cotten candy floride :)
We learned that Kaden only has 19 teeth, one of his 2 yr molars hasn't come in :) Kaleiah has all 20 :)
After they were all done they got to pick their own new tooth brush and they picked the same ones but different colors!!! I loved that, that kind of stuff always happened w/ me and my twin sis!
And at the very end they got to pick out 2 prizes from a big box full of goodies! They LOVED that!!
They were SO good, and we were so proud. Everyone in there thought they were adorable and so well behaved :)
