plan B :)

So we set aside today to be out of the house all day bc we were going to (and did) carpet clean this AM. Obviously Disneyland was the first choice bc it's somewhere we could go all day long. Hubby carpet cleaned from 8-9, we packed lunches and were on our way to The Magic Kingdom by 10. We told the twins before they went to bed that when they woke up we'd be going! They, as always, were thrilled! The whole way up we were talking about what we were going to ride first. About half way there my husband had the bright idea to check first to see if we were blocked out for some reason. And wouldn't you know, we were! :(
There has only been a few other times where this has happened but we've never actually driven all the way there and then realized. So at least we realized it when we did. Normally we are blocked on Holidays, Saturdays and all of July. Guess bc it's the weekend after Easter we were? So we had to hurry and think of a plan B as the babies were asking why we were turning around! The Spec was an easy and obvious choice bc there's tons to do and it's one of our fav places. They started asking if we were still going to D-Land and we said "We'll go ride a big ferris wheel and pet puppies!" trying not to answer their question and Kaden very matter of factually and kind of mad said "There's not puppies at Disneyland! There's puppies at the outside mall!" We died laughing bc of the way he said and an bc we hadn't even mentioned where we were going but he was right! We call The Spectrum the outside mall :)
We called Nana on the way bc she works near by and she said she would love to meet us for lunch and that Papa would come too!
So while we waited for them to get there we rode the ferris wheel which was a first. It was fun!

Kaleiah took the next 2 herself!

I saw this turquoise wall and I had to take a few pics, it's my most fav color in the world :)

We also went to the pet store :)

After the wheel we met up w/ Nana and Papa and had lunch! That was fun, too ;) Then after lunch K&K rode the carousel Nana and Papa and they loved it!

After that we left for naps but they fell asleep before we made it home. They woke up an hour later, we went back to The Spec and they got to ride the choo-choo train which of course they loved!

After that we did some window shopping, played in a few stores and ran in the fountains. It was a super fun, family filled day and I loved it!! BUT, we WILL be going to Disneyland on the next day we aren't blocked!! :)

Easter and egg hunt #2

Easter Sunday I dropped my bunnies off w/ my parents so I could go to service at 9 and then I picked them up and went back for the 11 service in which I serve and teach the 2-3 year old class (K&K are with me in there too :)). I sat w/ my hubby and our friends, another married couple :) The service was awesome, one of the Chilean minors spoke about what it was like for those 69 days stuck under ground. He was an incredible faithful, Godly man and his story was powerful! After the service we headed out to where they had an egg hunt, bounce houses and a petting zoo.
After naps we had one more egg hunt for K&K at our house and then it was off to my parents for Easter dinner w/ my fam :) Easter is the most important day of the year, to me. A day we celebrate that our Savior was crucified and died for US and OUR sins. I don't think I will ever comprehend that kind of Grace. I can't WAIT to teach K&K all about the tru meaning of Easter as they get older!

Kaleiah is VERY selective to who she gives affection, especially kisses, to. Sometimes you have to flat out trick her like my sister did. Whip cream kisses :)

Easter egg hunt #1

Saturday we took K&K to go hunt for eggs. It's amazing how different this year was from last year. Last year they really didn't understand the concept of looking for hidden eggs. This year they could.not.wait.

Best friends <3

My heart swells at the sight of this photo!! :)

First Easter, almost 7 mo!

Last Easter, almost 18 mo :)
