19 months

On April 30th you turned 19 months! You are fast approaching 2 and I just can't believe it!

Kaden:
You have been the funniest little boy in the past month. You get this completely ornery look on your face like you just want to squeeze whatever is in your sight. That includes my face :) You will run up, teeth clenched, lips curled and as you squeeze me you slightly shake. But I know the feeling, I love you so much that I want to squeeze you too!! :)
You are talking a lot more, too, and it's super cute. You and your sister know so much and it's really made things sooooo much easier! You'll bring something when I ask and you'll put things away when I ask. You are helpful and a very good listener!

At your 18 mo check up you weighed 20 lb 10 oz and are 32 1/2 inches. You are healthy, active, and extremely happy!
There isn't a whole lot to update from 18-19 months but I will say that as each month passes, it's get more and more fun. You are truly turning into such a little boy. You are amazing and I love you with every ounce of me

Kaleiah:
You are talking so much that it is quite amazing. You are saying 2-3 words at a time most of the time. You already know some shapes and you repeat everything we say, almost perfectly. We are already at the point where we have o spell things out so you won't know what we are saying!
You love to help me clean lately, always picking things up to throw them in the trash. You really know the difference between what is and isn't trash. You like to take a wipe and clean the tile and you always want to "sweep sweep" when I am. My little helper!!
At your 18 mo check up a few weeks ago you weighed in at 19lb 3oz and are 33 inches tall. This is the first time you are taller than Kaden! I know you will switch off in this category many, many times.
We also learned at your check up (we ended up taking you to an amazing eye specialist who is included in some of "America's top Dr.'s) that you have what is called Strabismus. It is when one eye becomes weak and turns (in your case) inward. This is a very common thing in babies/toddlers. We caught it so early that it should be quite simple to correct. Right now you wear a little patch (like a band aid) 4 hours a day. It has been a week so far and you have done amazing!!!
You don't fight wearing it, in fact you actually ask to wear it. We call it you glasses bc you love to put on our glasses so we thought we would make it fun! Your eye showed improvement after just two days. Praise God! And everyday it gets better and better! You are such a tough little girl and you make me so proud! We go back next week and the Dr. will reassess your eye and we'll go from there. Although we were nervous at first about the initial evaluation, what it would mean and how it would affect you, it has been such a relief to know that it's already correcting and that A)this is not uncommon B)we can do surgery down the road if need be.
With being two months premature and all that could have been wrong health wise with you two, we have always and will continue to praise God that you are so healthy. This is MINIMAL in the great aspect of what things could have been. Thank you Lord for your constant protection!
I love you my sweet heart, you are such an inspiration to me and I am so blessed to have you as my daughter! Love you!

its hysterical that brady is a full 6 months younger and weighs 10 pounds more and is 1 inch taller! lol! i have a friend who had preemies and they are very petite too! i think its adorable! especially for a girl! so dainty! :)

im glad kh's eye situation is looking up. i had noticed it in a few of her pictures and just figured she had a lazy eye or something. praise God that she is progressing so well! and i fully agree, for being 2 months premature, you are remarkably lucky this is the only thing you have to deal with. you are very blessed and very fortunate.
