NYE 2010

Our New Years Eve was grand! We were given tickets to San Diego's wild animal park, something the hubs and I have always wanted to do!! We were so excited to get to go AND take our babies!! We spent the first half of the day there and then drove home at nap time. After that we did a little shopping with some Christmas gift cards. Then we got home, played, hung out and spent New Years Eve as a family :) We put the babies to bed and watched The Ugly Truth and then watched the ball drop at midnight :) It was such a mellow night and it was perfect. Last year as you may recall, was out first night away from the babies and we stayed out and celebrated NYE just us! It was so much fun! I think doing the going out thing every other year is perfect. Next year we are hoping to be watching the ball drop in NEW YORK (just us)!!!! Oh man, what an experience that will be!!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the one not so grand part of the day though was after shopping, getting gas and loosing Randy's wallet. We realized when we were 3 exits from home that it was missing and must have fallen out of his pocket at the gas station. We called right away and turned the car around. Nothing. Nothing had been turned in. I was so bummed and kind of ticked that someone could be so dishonest. To not turn in a wallet is pretty low. And the feeling of knowing your wallet with all your info and credit cards its scary. The worst feeling. Since it was NYE we couldn't cancel any cards. There was about $50 in cash which isn;t a ton but when you have 2 toddlers, it IS. And also it had over $250 in Christmas gift cards!! I told Randy I hope the people that took it see the pics of the babies and feel really good about stealing from us! I had no hope it would be turned in. So we headed home with that sinking feeling the rest of the night. We decided to quit worrying about though bc after all, it was just material stuff. The next morning around 10am he got a call from someone who had his wallet! I was shocked and so relieved. He drove to go pick it up ad every single thing was still there. So there ARE still honest people! :)
